HID Lamp ( High Intensity Discharge Lamp)
- HID Lamp ( High Intensity Discharge Lamp) is used for Vehicles.
Unlike normal halogen headlamp systems, HID lamps do not use a filament. Instead, they contain an inert gas (Xenon), which emits light when it comes in contact with a high-voltage electrical arc. The use of HID lamp is a technological trend in the automotive industry. This is because HID lamp is more efficient in terms of energy consumption, have longer lifespan and can improve visibility for the driver as compared with halogen lamps.
Features of HID Lamp:
A Xenon lamp has a service life of 2500 hours, but HID lamp only need 35W/3.5A power energy. HID lamp can save move than 50% electricity. A HID Lamp generates 3200 Lumen, is 300% compared with a general halogen lamp. The polar white light is similar to daylight. Researches have shown that this enables drivers to concentrate better, especially in night.
